I am a visual and conceptual artist based in Bordeaux. My work involves video and actions, photography and philosophy. It is informed by representations of women within cultural media and general society. By displacing and recycling images from the media, these images are reconsidered and rethought. My work provokes accepted norms and investigates ways in which gender normalisation can be resisted.
I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2011. I have also studied at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe, Germany. My work has been shown and performed in the UK, Poland, Barcelona, Germany and in Venice during the 53rd Art Biennale.
“To the extent that a woman lives her body as a thing, she remains rooted in immanence, is inhibited, and retains a distance from her body as transcending movement and from engagement in the world’s possibilities”
